Want to look younger? This is not a new concept. From fairytales, to media outlets – there has been an ongoing quest for the fountain of youth. And while the perfect elixir hasn’t yet been discovered, recent advances have introduced some major, scientifically proven advances in anti-ageing skin care.
Laser Genesis/FRAC3, which we use for our Deep Rejuvenation treatments, is one of the latest non-invasive laser treatments used for skin rejuvenation procedures. You can see a reduction in redness and pores, and a brighter, more uniform complexion right after your first treatment.
This laser treatment remains popular mainly due to the fact that it’s such a comfortable treatment with immediate result. Some clients even describe it as comforting, like a warm ray of sunshine on the face.
The laser acts by stimulating the skin’s natural capacity to heal by selectively inducing micro-healing responses in areas damaged by premature ageing or sun exposure.
How does Laser Genesis/FRAC3 work?
The technique involves a three-dimensional matrix that inflicts micro-wounds in the troubled areas, at specific depths. A safe procedure, it involves repeated high-energy micro-second pulses to the skin.
Minimally intense, the treatment does not affect the healthy skin and encourages the rejuvenation of damaged skin for a glowing and healthier appearance.
By targeting the tissue beneath the damaged skin, the laser stimulates collagen production to reduce appearance of pores, brown discoloration and textural imperfections while also strengthening vascularity to reduce visible redness.
The results you can expect
Each person’s skin has a unique complexion. This is why, at Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia, we offer complimentary consultations. This way, you receive treatment designed specifically for your needs so you can achieve your goals.
Although the procedure is safe, you may notice some very mild redness or swelling after the initial treatment, but this wears off quickly and you should be able to return to your normal activities with ease.
How many treatments do you need?
The number of treatments you need will depend on the nature of your skin and the condition you’d like to treat. Some clients are recommended a course of 4-6 treatments with which they can see steady and notable improvement. Others use this as an occasional “maintenance” treatment.
We recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation so that one of our experienced Clinicians can assess your skin and make a recommendation. We have package pricing available if you choose to do multiple treatments.
What you can do to prepare your skin for Laser Genesis/FRAC3
We recommend prepping your skin with a pigment inhibitor/normalising serum before any laser treatment. Even though the treatments are safe when performed by thoroughly trained providers, laser procedures can potentially be demanding for your skin at first.
Skin prepping and aftercare can also help you optimise your treatment results.
Our clinicians will advise on a course of skin prepping to prepare your skin for an even and safe laser penetration. By preparing your skin for the treatment, our clinicians can predict how your skin will react to the treatment, reducing risk and complications.
Who is suitable for Laser Genesis/FRAC3?
If you have redness, rosacea, large pores, uneven texture, or dull or uneven skin tone, Laser Genesis/FRAC3 may be an excellent option.
We all have unique complexions and some laser settings may not be suitable for all skin types. As such, we recommend taking advantage of our complimentary consultations by having a one-on-one consultation with a specialised Clinician to evaluate your skin and recommend the best treatment options.
Post-treatment care to consider
While you may see some results right away, the surface of your skin will be more sensitive for 24 hours after treatment.
Our expert Clincians will provide you with any aftercare requirements to ensure your skin is protected and you can continue with your normal activities.
As a general guideline, it is recommended that you avoid direct sun exposure, certain skincare ingredients (such as retinol) and physical exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
