Pico Deep Laser Toning treats deeply-rooted pigmentation and melasma, coarse pores, acne, moles and birthmarks.
Pico Deep Laser Toning delivers frictional mechanical energy pulses to the deeper layers of the skin at an exceptionally rapid rate without breaking through the surface of the skin. This targeted energy breaks pigment down into tiny particles that your immune system then removes naturally. It also stimulates the collagen-building cells to improve some textural concerns.
Once the laser breaks the pigment up into smaller particles, it takes some time for your body to remove those particles and rebuild collagen cells. Results should appear gradually over the 4 weeks following each treatment.
Pico Deep Laser Toning treats deeper pigmentation and textural concerns than Pico Rejuvenation. It reaches the deeper layers without breaking through the surface layer of the skin, so there is less discomfort and less redness after treatment, compared to other types of laser.
Your skin will be cleansed and numbed, then a highly trained experienced clinician will use the appropriate handpiece to deliver pulses of energy onto the treatment area. After treatment, you’ll be placed under a phototherapy lamp and your clinician will apply serum and sun protection.
It’s recommended that you use sunscreen and a pigment inhibiting serum before and after treatment. There may also be some redness after treatment.
About 20 minutes for a half face, around 40 minutes for a full face.
This treatment is effective with most skin types. Because fewer treatments are required (compared to other types of lasers) it is an excellent choice for someone who has an upcoming event and hopes to achieve some result by a certain date, however, results are gradual and may vary between people.
For best results, a course of 6-10 treatments is normally recommended, depending on your skin concern.
