Sweating is a normal bodily function that helps regulate temperature. However, some people experience sweating beyond what is needed for temperature control, sometimes without an obvious trigger.
Known as hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating can affect areas such as the underarms, hands, feet and face. For some people, it can interfere with everyday activities, clothing choices, work and social confidence.
During your consultation, Dr Garry Cussell can discuss your symptoms, consider possible contributing factors and assess whether further investigation or management may be appropriate.
Bruxism involves involuntary clenching or grinding of the teeth, which may occur during sleep or while awake.
Persistent teeth grinding can contribute to tooth wear, jaw discomfort, headaches and tension around the face. Symptoms and underlying factors can vary considerably between individuals.
A medical consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns, review relevant medical and dental history, and consider appropriate next steps. Depending on your symptoms, assessment by a dentist or another healthcare professional may also be recommended.
Excessive sweating and teeth grinding can have different underlying causes. An individual medical assessment can help determine appropriate next steps, including whether further investigation or referral may be recommended.
Every person's symptoms and medical history are different. At Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia, your consultation with Dr Garry Cussell begins with understanding your concerns before considering appropriate management options.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what is generally required to regulate body temperature. It may affect particular areas of the body or occur more widely.
Excessive sweating can occur without an identifiable underlying cause or may be associated with medical conditions, medications or other factors. A medical assessment can help determine whether further investigation is needed.
Bruxism refers to involuntary teeth grinding or jaw clenching. It can occur while awake or asleep and may contribute to dental wear, jaw discomfort or headaches.
A dentist is often an appropriate first point of contact, particularly where tooth wear, dental damage or jaw symptoms are present. Medical assessment may also be helpful depending on your symptoms and health history.
Dr Garry Cussell will discuss your symptoms, relevant medical history and concerns. Following an assessment, he can explain suitable management options and any recommended next steps.
Your initial appointment is intended to assess your concerns and discuss appropriate care. Whether any further treatment is suitable will depend on your individual assessment and clinical recommendations.

2% to 3% of the population commonly experience hyperhidrosis and don't usually get much relief from antiperspirants.
Everyone sweats when stimulated by either heat, physical exertion, stressful or nervous situations, or if experiencing a fever. However those who have hyperhidrosis experience excessive sweating when there’s little or no reason to.
Medical injectables can provide effective relief.

Excessive teeth grinding (or Bruxism) occurs subconsciously by exerting a biting force to the jaw and teeth beyond that of normal function.
Constant teeth grinding that is done over many years can cause an array of issues such as cracked teeth and fillings, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, a sore and stiff jaw and sensitive teeth.

At Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia our medical injectable treatments are performed by experienced Doctors.
As qualified medical health professionals and experienced injectors our practitioners are uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive treatment of these medical conditions and their symptoms.
Specialist Clinics of Australia is our partner brand whose aim is to provide you with access to expert medical professionals and the latest technology available from specific fields of medicine in convenient Sydney locations.
Wrinkles are simply fine lines and creases in the skin. When we are young, our skin is strong and elastic, so “expression” lines disappear when we relax our facial muscles.
As we age, the collagen and elastin in our skin starts to deplete due to genes and lifestyle factors (such as lack of sleep, smoking or working in the sun). As we continually contract certain facial muscles, expression lines stay behind and form permanent creases.
Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles that contract and cause wrinkles for a smoother, more youthful appearance.
The treatment time is short and the needle used is very small, so there is very little discomfort involved. You may feel a small pinch while the needle is in for each short injection, but there is no associated pain after.
You may notice some results a few days after treatment, but it takes two weeks for full results to become apparent.
In the two weeks following treatment, your jaw muscles may slowly start to feel less tense and the clenching and grinding should cease.
This can vary between people. Results for hyperhidrosis treatments last 4-12 months, and the results for bruxism treatments usually last about 4 months.
